Ui16

The Soundcraft Ui16 is a 16-input digital mixer with no physical control surface. Mixing happens in a browser on a tablet, phone, laptop, or desktop, and up to 10 devices connect at once, so an engineer at the booth and musicians on stage each keep their own view. Onboard Wi-Fi and Ethernet run at the same time, with no app install on iOS, Android, Windows, Mac OS, or Linux.

Inputs cover eight XLR combo mic/line channels, four XLR mic inputs, two Hi-Z channels for guitar or bass, and a stereo RCA line pair. Mic gain and phantom power are fully recallable and remote-controlled. Each input channel carries 4-band parametric EQ, a high-pass filter, compressor, de-esser, and noise gate.

Four balanced XLR aux outputs feed separate monitor mixes, and every output gets 31-band graphic EQ, noise gate, and compressor. A real-time analyzer runs on inputs and outputs. Two 1/4" headphone outputs have their own level control, and balanced stereo XLR plus 1/4" main outputs connect to the PA. An HDMI display output puts the mixer view on a screen at the mix position.

Three dedicated buses run Lexicon reverb, delay, and chorus, and HARMAN processing from dbx and DigiTech is built in, including dbx AFS2 feedback suppression and amp modeling for low stage volume setups.

Show and snapshot recall with channel safes brings a full setup back in seconds, and security lockout limits what each device can reach. A 2-channel USB player covers MP3, WAV, and AIFF playback and recording. Subgroups, mute groups, and view groups keep a busy stage organized, and the rugged chassis is made for floor use at live gigs, in worship rooms, and in theaters.
