The VRCPAA-106F is a 10.6-inch floating touchscreen double DIN receiver with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto built in. The screen is about 30% larger than a traditional 7-inch unit while the chassis still fits standard 2-DIN dash kits and brackets, so the upgrade is bolt-in for most newer vehicles. CarPlay puts iPhone maps, calls, messages, and music on the dash display with Siri voice control, and Android Auto does the same for Android phones with Google Assistant, so directions and texts happen by voice with your hands on the wheel. The high resolution TFT-LCD uses a capacitive touch panel with a large format interface that keeps taps quick, and 7-color key illumination matches the cabin. Media playback covers DVD and CD along with dual USB and microSD up to 64GB for MP3, WMA, M4A, and FLAC audio, MP4, AVI, and H264 video, and JPEG, GIF, and PNG images with ID3 tag reading. Bluetooth handles hands-free calling with call logs, phone book access, playback control, and wireless audio streaming. An advanced FM/AM tuner with RBDS data display, a 10-band digital equalizer with user presets, and 300W 4-channel speaker outputs cover the audio side, with front, rear, and subwoofer 4V RCA preamp outputs for added amplifiers. Front and rear camera inputs with a 12V trigger and dual video outputs for auxiliary monitors round it out. A wireless remote is included.
