SDX-200.2

The SDX-200.2 is a water-resistant two-channel Class D amplifier that puts real power into a compact, protected chassis. Output is 200W x 2 at 4 ohms, 280W x 2 at 2 ohms, and 560W x 1 at 4 ohms bridged, from a housing measuring 8.875 by 7 by 2.125 inches.

That bridged figure is the point. Two channels of 200W handle a pair of speakers with plenty of headroom, or bridge them into a single 560W channel for a subwoofer. One amp covers either job, which is useful when mounting space is limited.

Weather protection is built into the structure. A heavy cast aluminum casing sheds heat and shields the electronics, and the audio controls sit under a sealed, removable cover so rain, dust, and spray never reach the pots. Unscrew the badge with an allen key when you need to adjust. That suits side-by-sides, ATVs, boats, open Jeeps, golf carts, and motorcycle setups, along with regular car installs where the amp mounts in an exposed spot.

Variable 12dB high and low pass filters cover 20 Hz to 500 Hz, so you can run these channels as midbass, full range, or bass duty. Variable 12dB bass boost at 50 Hz is on board. DC auto-sensing turn on removes the need for a remote turn-on wire.

Protection circuitry covers thermal, voltage, speaker short, and DC-offset conditions. A 50A fuse is recommended, and an optional wired remote is available.
