Product Description

The SFB-1800.5 runs an entire system from one chassis, and it does not treat the speaker channels as an afterthought. Output is 300W x 4 on channels 1-4 plus 500W x 1 on channel 5 at 2 ohms, 200W x 4 plus 250W x 1 at 4 ohms, and 1000W x 1 at 1 ohm on the bass channel.

SFB stands for Sundown Full Bridge, the Brazilian-style design that fits high power into a compact chassis. Because every channel is full range and handles low impedance, you can wire several speakers per channel. That opens up builds a normal five-channel cannot handle: a P.A. mid and high speaker array, a large marine system with multiple zones, or a set of separates plus a dedicated subwoofer channel.

Filtering is separate for the two sections. Channels 1-4 have a variable 12dB low pass from 50 Hz to 6 kHz and a variable 12dB high pass from 15 Hz to 6 kHz. Channel 5 has a variable 12dB low pass from 50 Hz to 20 kHz and a variable 12dB high pass from 50 Hz to 1 kHz. Variable 12dB bass boost at 50 Hz is on board.

Frequency response runs 10 Hz to 20 kHz at -3 dB, input impedance is 56k ohms, input sensitivity is 5V max, and signal to noise ratio is 100 dB. Protection circuitry covers thermal, voltage, speaker short, and DC-offset faults, with power, protection, and clipping indicators.

A 150A fuse is recommended. Dimensions are 11.81 by 8.86 by 2.70 inches.
