SFB-3000D

The SFB-3000D is the largest amplifier in the SFB line, a Class D monoblock rated at 3000W RMS at 1 ohm, 2000W at 2 ohms, and 1100W at 4 ohms. It exists for the builder who wants high-power output from a single amplifier instead of running two.

It carries the full SFB feature set: a dual MOS-FET PWM power supply, 1-ohm stable output, a 12 dB per octave variable low pass filter, a variable high pass filter, and 0 to 12 dB of variable bass boost. A four-way protection circuit covers thermal, voltage, speaker short, and DC-offset conditions.

What sets this one apart is thermal management and electrical demand. A three-speed temperature-activated cooling fan increases airflow as the amp heats, so it keeps playing during long high-output sessions. The recommended fuse rating is 250A, so plan on heavy power and ground wire and an electrical system that holds voltage between 10.5V and 15.5V under load. Skipping that step is the most common reason a high-power amp underperforms.

The included wired remote control has a clipping indicator, so bass level adjusts from the seat with feedback on where clean output ends. Signal to noise ratio is 86 dB.

Dimensions are 8.25 by 9.00 by 2.50 inches, still compact for the output, which suits false floors and under-seat racks where a competition-size amplifier would not fit.
