DB30 1U Rack Mount dB Decibel Meter Display

The DB30 combines two things every rack needs into a single 1U space: a large decibel display and an 8-outlet power supply. The front panel is a wide dB meter reading 5dB to 140dB, sized to stay readable in a dark club, a dim studio, or from behind a DJ booth. The display runs blue to green to red as levels climb, so you can see where you are sitting relative to the top of the range without walking over to a laptop. Two modes let you show levels as dots or as bars, which also gives the rack a moving light element during a set. Sensitivity adjusters on both the left and right channels let you calibrate the meter to your actual signal levels instead of guessing. Inputs and outputs for both channels are RCA, so it drops into a chain between a mixer and an amplifier, or into an amplifier rack to act as that amp’s display meter. The rear panel carries eight grounded 120V outlets, which handles the pile of wall warts and IEC cords that mobile DJs, studio engineers, and stage crews deal with at every setup. The power supply is built in, so there is no external brick to lose. A 5V USB charging port on the front keeps a phone or tablet topped up during a long session. Dimensions are 19" x 3.9" x 1.75" at 2.1 lb, running on 110/220V.
