The DV4000 is a two-channel receiver, amplifier, and DVD player in one chassis, which removes two boxes from a home theater or karaoke rack. It puts out 380W of continuous average power across both channels and 4000W peak into an 8 ohm circuit. Speaker connections cover a full surround layout: bare wire terminals for two main speakers plus three surround speakers, with two sets of RCA outputs for feeding an active subwoofer or a second zone. Video leaves through RCA, YUV, or RGB, so it connects to older displays and projectors as easily as newer ones. The disc drawer reads DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD-R, CD-RW, VCD, MP3, MPEG4, DIVX, and CD-G, with auto region playback and PAL/NTSC switching, and CD-G support means disc-based karaoke works out of the box. A USB port and SD card slot on the front take media up to 32 GB with repeat and shuffle playback. Bluetooth v3.0 with EDR reaches 45 ft, which is a longer leash than most receivers give you, so video and music can play straight from a phone at the back of a room. Dual 1/4" microphone inputs with volume and echo controls handle karaoke and announcements. An FM tuner with auto scan skips past dead air, bass and treble controls shape output, and a cooling fan keeps the amplifier stable.
