Product Description

The D1400 is a 14 volt AGM battery in a BCI Group 34 case, built for vehicles that pull more current than a standard 12V system was designed to give. The higher nominal voltage is the reason to run one: amplifiers make more power on higher voltage, and modified engines with high compression or heavily upgraded electronics hold up better when the system is not sagging. Low internal resistance delivers 775 cranking amps and 682 cold cranking amps, so the engine starts in extreme heat or cold, with peak output up to 2,400 amps. Capacity backs it up with 56Ah and 96 minutes of reserve, enough to keep a large stereo playing with the engine off. Absorbent Glass Mat construction is sealed against spills and moisture and handles vibration, so the battery can be mounted in a trunk, an amp rack, or an interior location rather than only in the engine bay. Charging temperature range runs from 5F to 120F. Both 580 and M6 terminal hardware are included, which covers most cable ends without a separate adapter. Note that a 14V battery needs a charging system and accessories rated for that voltage, so plan the rest of the electrical system around it.

Features

    • More Voltage, More Output

A 14 volt nominal system holds voltage where a 12V battery sags, and amplifiers make more power when the supply stays high under load.

    • Starts Hard Engines

Low internal resistance delivers 775 cranking amps and 682 CCA, turning over high-compression modified engines in extreme heat or cold.

    • Reserve For Big Systems

56Ah and 96 minutes of reserve capacity keep a large stereo and upgraded electronics running with the engine shut off.

    • Mount It Inside

Sealed Absorbent Glass Mat construction resists spills, moisture, and vibration, so a trunk, amp rack, or interior mount is on the table.

    • Two Terminal Types Included

580 and M6 terminal hardware both ship with the battery, so most cable ends connect properly without sourcing a separate adapter.
