An advanced microprocessor runs a three-stage microprocessor-controlled charge profile and measures progress as it works, so the battery reaches a full charge quickly without being overcharged. Multicolor LEDs show charging status at a glance, so you know when the battery is ready without reaching for a meter. Protection circuits cover reverse polarity, short circuits, and overload, and an automatic under-voltage and 10-hour shutoff stops the charge if something is wrong. An integrated cooling fan pulls heat out of the case, so the charger holds its full 8A output during long sessions.
