Product Description

The PWR-S5 is a 12V lithium titanate oxide (LTO) battery from the XS Power Titan8 line, built for high burst output and very fast recharge. The high-power cell supports up to 2,000 max amps and 1,000 cranking amps, roughly 1,500 when compared to AGM cranking output, from a case that weighs 8 lb. Energy on board is 120 Wh, or 10Ah nominal, about 30Ah compared directly to AGM. Wattage support is 5,000W.

LTO chemistry accepts charge current many times its own capacity, so the pack recovers between hard pulls instead of sagging as the session goes on. That suits two jobs in particular: cranking an engine over and over during tuning or racing, and holding voltage for a competition audio system that hits hard and often. It works with stock or aftermarket alternators.

Built-in 2/0 AWG bussing gives the module up to four positive and four negative hidden connections with no externally exposed bussing, plus two accessible top terminals and four series or parallel expansion terminals. Banks can be built at 12V, 24V, 36V, or higher by stacking modules. The module accepts up to 300 amps of continuous charging current and can recharge in as little as five minutes.

Run it as the main battery in a street car, race car, UTV, or scooter, or add it as a dedicated second bank feeding amplifiers, LED lighting, inverters, and other high-draw electronics. M6 terminal hardware is included for the top terminals.

Features

    • Burst Power On Demand

The LTO cell supports 2,000 max amps and 1,000 cranking amps, so amplifiers and the starter get current the moment they call for it.

    • Recharges Fast

Lithium titanate chemistry accepts charge current many times its capacity, so the battery refills between heavy pulls rather than sagging over a long session.

    • Serious Weight Savings

At 8 lb it takes real weight off the nose of the vehicle compared with a full-size AGM battery, without giving up cranking output.

    • Flexible Bank Building

Built-in 2/0 bussing hides four positive and four negative connections inside the module, and expansion terminals let you wire 12V, 24V, or 36V banks cleanly.

    • Ready To Wire

M6 terminal hardware is included, so ring terminals and accessory leads land on the top posts without adapters or a second parts run.
